Meet Amy

Have you ever thought “that’s not for me” or “I’m not the kind of person who does that” when you think about a Yoga class? Or maybe… you haven’t seen your age, size, identity, or your experience level reflected in a class before. As a fat, fit, sometimes-off-balance yogi with Gen-X credentials, I felt that way too.

So, I’m creating something better…

I want to provide a space that helps you manage and relieve your pain and anxiety, while exploring new ways to be calm, bendy, balanced, and comfortable in your skin. We might even fall over together a few times!

I’m excited to bring my years of experience with massage, meditation, yoga, and being in *my* body to create something great with you.

Reach out to me today. I can’t wait to meet you!

– Amy Charlton

We explore gentle ways to be in our body and how to be kind to our bodies and self. This is done through approaches to yoga that introduce tools for self care.

Fully Bodied Services

Massage Therapy

Amy’s years of experience and education bring you one of the most relaxing massages you may ever enjoy. She uses trauma informed principles to create a client focused environment, as well as incorporating warm Mother Earth Pillows, manual lymphatic drainage, and myofascial release, depending on your needs.

Mindful Movement/Yoga

Amy’s mindful movement offerings are gentle, collaborative explorations of yoga inspired poses. Options are key! Poses can be done on the mat, with a chair, and with props in order to find the best fit for your body. These offerings can also include iRest Yoga Nidra meditations.

Sound Experiences

Amy uses a gong and singing bowls to create a relaxing and soothing experience designed to help regulate your parasympathetic nervous system and support your comfort. These experiences can be enjoyed in a group setting for adults and children, in a customized one-on-one setting, in your home, or incorporated in your next massage.

iRest: Integrative Restoration

This integrative restoration, or iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation, is a modern-day secular adaption of the ancient meditative practice of Yoga Nidra. Developed by Richard Miller, PhD, it’s a form of self-inquiry that, research shows, can effectively reduce PTSD, depression, anxiety, and chemical dependency. It does this while increasing health, resiliency, and well-being.

Elder Caring

Amy has extensive experience providing massage and movement practices in nursing homes, nun communities, and Human Services, and she offers a range of enrichment experiences for our Elder community.
